Bus Éireann is currently undertaking an Oral History Project in association with Ireland’s leading oral historians, Mac Conmara Heritage Consulting.
Bus Éireann has recently begun an Oral History Project in association with Ireland’s leading oral historians, Mac Conmara Heritage Consulting.
The project, the first of its kind, will aim to document, preserve and share the memories of those who recall travelling by bus throughout Ireland over the last one hundred years.
Whether your bus journey enabled your social or economic aims or is linked to a special or memorable moment in your life, we want to hear your story.
Bus Éireann, Wheeling Through the Years will highlight the important role bus travel has played within the fabric of Irish society, while emphasising its role as a sustainable mode of transport into the future.
The recordings will be preserved within a permanent archive for education and research purposes. It is also our intention to integrate some of the recorded material into a future public exhibition.
