Applicants must submit the following documentation:

Driving Licence
- Must be an Irish Driving Licence except for those currently residing in Northern Ireland.
NVB1 Vetting Invitation
- This form must be fully completed in person with your Contractor/Employer. The form must contain a physical handwritten signature. The form is available from your Contractor/Employer.
Identity Document Validation Form
- This form must be completed in full by the validator only and upload as part of your vetting application. Only the documents verified by the validator can be uploaded.
- Bus Éireann must validate a Contractor's or Bus Éireann Employee’s Identity.
Proof of Address
- The address on the Proof of Address must be where the applicant is currently residing. The name on the Proof of Address must match the name as it appears on the applicants driving licence. The address and name on the Proof of Address must match the details input on the application.
  - Utility bill (dated within the last six months.)
    - ONLY:
      - gas,
      - electricity,
      - television,
      - broadband,
      - waste bill or
      - TV licence
    - Printed online bills are acceptable. Mobile phones bills are not acceptable.
  - Statements (dated within the last six months.)
Bus Éireann Medical Fitness Certificate
- The name on the Medical Fitness Certificate must match the name as it appears on the applicants driving licence.
- Medical Cert Form A – for those 65 years of age and UNDER.
- Medical Cert Form B – for those aged 66 years and under 70 years.
- Medical Examination must be within the last 6 months.
- Medical Certificate must contain applicants current address.
Police Clearance Certificate
- Required if you have lived outside of Ireland while 18 years of age or over.
- Basic Disclosures or Disclosure for Immigration Purposes are not acceptable.
Employer’s Proof of Identity Declaration Form
- If you are a Nominated School Bus Driver for Contractor, this form is available from your employer.
- A Contractor must nominate a driver and if all is in order, the Local School Transport Office will release this form upon request only.
- Bus Éireann must validate a contractor’s identity.
- This form must be dated within the last 30 days and must be completed in full.

NB: Please note Bus Éireann may be required to provide the aforementioned documentation to An Garda Síochána and our Chief Medical Officer. Applicants may be required to provide a National Driver Licence Service (NDLS) Driver Statement in certain instances.
