Please note the following service disruption in the western and northwestern region on Tuesday, 7th April 2026.

Due to slow-moving convoys in various locations as part of the fuel cost protest, there are considerable delays nationwide.

The protest in Galway City is currently at the New Docks Rd., preventing buses from leaving the depot. All departures from Galway are considerably delayed. 


Route 51
10:25 Cork to Galway - delayed by 1 hour.
11:05 Galway to Cork - delayed by 1 hour.
14:05 Galway to Cork - cancelled.
15:05 Galway to Cork - cancelled.
15:25 Limerick to Galway - cancelled.


Route 52
13:00 Galway to Ballina - delayed by 25 minutes.


Route 64
11:45 Sligo to Derry - delayed by 40 minutes.
13:15 Derry to Galway - delayed by 40 minutes.


Route 314 
13:05 Foynes to Limerick - cancelled.


Route 401
Road closures will take place on the Castlepark Rd. on until April 24th, from Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 16:00. Services on Route 401 will be unable to serve Glenavon Drive, Gortcam, Ard Álainn, Ballybane N.V. and Clareview Park. A temporary bus stop will be located near Windsor Motors.


Routes 458 
12:30 Ballina to Enniskillen - delayed by 25 minutes.
12:30 Enniskillen to Ballina - delayed by 40 minutes.

Please note the following disruption to our services in the South East/Eastern region on Tuesday 7th April 2026:



***   Due to a planned nationwide fuel protest taking place today, services across multiple routes in the East and Southeast region are expected to experience disruption.
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and check the website for real-time service updates.


>> Routes 101, 103, 109, 109B, 109X, 111, NX

All services that normally operate via O’Connell Street are required to divert via Gardiner Street for the duration of the closure.

• Missed stops: O’Connell Street (stop 227) and Lower Abbey Street, Irish Life (stop 111771) 
 
• Alternative stop: Dublin Busaras (stop 135001)


>> Route 133 (only inbound):

• Missed stops: Dawson Street (stop 135331) and Westland Row (stop 8513)

• Alternative stops: Adelaide Road (stop 909) and Dublin Busaras (stop 135001)

Please note the following disruption to our services in the South region on Tuesday 7th April 2026:

Routes 202 & 202a:
Routes 202 & 202a are currently unable to serve Cathedral Road due to an RTA. Routes 202 & 202a are currently operating via North City Link Road & Sunvalley Drive.

🔶Fuel Price Protests🔶

Due to ongoing fuel price protests across Cork City and surrounding areas, all Cork City services are currently experiencing delays. Several urban bus services are also affected.


Route 51

Due to protests on the route,  51 services are experiencing severe delays.

Bus Éireann apologises for any inconvenience caused. Passengers are advised to allow extra travel time and check TFI Live for updates.





🔹Route 219 🔹

From the 20th of April 2026,  the current 07:00 departure from MTU will cease. The service shall begin at at the new EARLIER time of 06.45.


🔹Route 226🔹

Please be advised that services are unable to stop at Ballinabearna Cross, Riverstick, Belgooly and Bridge View from 08:00Hrs to 18:00Hrs both directions. 

To facilitate resurfacing works on the R600 between Riverstick & Belgooly, the R600 will be closed between Fivemilebridge & Pewterhole Cross, from 08.00 Tuesday 07th April until 18:00 Friday 10th April. The road closure will be implemented daily from 08:00 – 18:00 with the road reopening each evening & to remain open overnight. As a result, we will be unable to serve Riverstick or Belgooly between these times. Intending passengers will need to board and alight in Kinsale or Fivemilebridge.


🔹Route 260🔹

Route 260 will be unable to serve Mogeely until 10th April due to roadworks.

🔹Route 261🔹

Due to roadworks in Ballinacurra, stops 23991 & 237511 will be closed from Wednesday 11th March for approx. 8 weeks.
Stops at Mount Pleasant (244961) & Ballinacurra (244941) can be accessed by passenger.

Please be advised due to Annual Easter Rising Commemoration, O'Connel Street will be closed from 04:00 to 15:00
As a result, the following service changes will be in place:

* Route 101 ex Drogheda:
Will divert from Dorset Street via Gardiner Street onto Busáras.
- Missed Stop:  Stop 227, O’Connell Street
- Alternative Stop: Busáras

* Route 101 ex Dublin:
Will operate its normal route from Busáras during the diversion.

Route 103, 109, 109B, 109X, 111, and NX Inbound Service:
Will operate as normal up to Parnell Square East.
- Missed Stops:  Stop 227, O’Connell Street and Stop 111771, Lower Abbey Street (Irish Life)
- Alternative Stop: Dublin Bus Stop 265 (Parnell Square)

- Outbound service will operate its normal route during the diversion.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time, as delays are expected due to road closures.

Please be advised of rolling road closures in Drogheda between 10:30am and 12:00pm may result in delays or service disruptions.

Route 173 may operate only to and from Drogheda Bus Station.

>>> Routes NV1 and NV2 Permanent Bus-Stop Relocation from Monday 8th December (Removal of Kennedy Road stops and new stops on Paddy O’Brien St)

We wish to advise customers travelling on routes NV1 and NV2 of the following change to the drop-off and pick-up bus-stop on Kennedy Road in Navan Town.

Routes NV1 and NV2 will operate to/from new bus-stops on Paddy O’Brien St. These changes will become active from Monday 8th December 2025.
