Service Disruption for the South Region, Thursday 20th November 2025:

All Cork City services are experiencing severe delays due to an earlier RTA on Grand Parade and severe traffic delays throughout the City and suburbs. These delays are likely to last well into the evening.

*Update , Washington St is re open services are getting back to normal.**

Due to a traffic accident on Washington Street, most of the city and surrounding area services are experiencing delays. For further information please check the Realtime app. Bus Eireann regrets any inconvenience caused to customers.

Route 51:
18:25 ex Cork to Galway is operating approx 1 hour late.

Route 203

Due to roadworks  at Farranferris Avenue & Pophams road the service is not able to operate the stops. As a result, all inbound services will operate as far Knockpogue Avenue before turning left on to Fairfield avenue and normal route thereafter. 
Inbound services can be accessed at Fairfield Road (242531) and at Fairfield Avenue bus stop (256221)


ROUTE 270 DIVERSION
EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE N71 BANTRY/BALLYDEHOB
From Mon. 17th November to Friday 28th November incl.

Cork County Council have advised that N71 National Secondary Road from Ballydehob to Ballydehob Cross, Bantry, will be closed to facilitate emergency road strengthening works from Monday, 17th November, to Friday, 28th November, inclusive.

Route 270 from Killarney should operate as per normal route to Bantry then follow the above diversion in reverse order.
As a result of diversion, Route 270 will not serve the following stops:

•215511 Church Cross (to Skibbereen) 236351 Church Cross (to Killarney).
•215541 Aghadown (to Skibbereen) 250161 Aghadown (to Killarney).
•233141 Ballydehob Bridge (to Skibbereen) 233101 Ballydehob Bridge (to Killarney).

Please note that Route 237 is not affected by Road Closure.
