Planned Revision to Route 189/189A Ashbourne-Drogheda -Clogher Head-Grangebellow service

As part of an ongoing review of public transport services in the Greater Dublin Area undertaken by the National Transport Authority, Bus Éireann will introduce a revised Route 189/189A, Ashbourne - Drogheda - Clogher Head - Grangebellow service which will commence on Sunday, 24 November 2013.

This revised bus timetable has been designed to enhance the connectivity between Ashbourne and Drogheda, providing a direct service to Our Lady’s of Lourdes Hospital from all points on the route, including Duleek, Clogher Head etc. This revised service will have 9 daily weekday departures from Drogheda to Ashbourne and return and 6 daily weekday departures from Drogheda to Clogher Head and return.

Enhancements to the bus timetable include:

  • Improved clock face frequency of services
  • Increased departures to all locations
  • Additional stops at Our Lady’s of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and in Ashbourne
  • Increased interchange opportunities to other routes at Drogheda and Ashbourne

The changes to Route 189/189A will come into effect on Sunday, 24 November 2013. These changes have been approved by the National Transport Authority.
