Customer Notice - Routes 203 and 209A

During 2012, Bus Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority carried out a review of services in Cork City and an enhanced public transport network was introduced. Customer numbers have grown significantly over the last 4 years and numerous further enhancements to the network were introduced.

Bus Éireann are now pleased to announce the following service enhancements to Route 203: Lehenaghmore - Ballyphehane - Turners Cross - City Centre - Blackpool - Farranree, which will be introduced from Sunday 25 September 2016.

The main features of the enhanced service offering are as follows:

  • All services will now operate to the newer residential areas of Lehenaghmore serving locations such as Manor Farm.
  • Earlier and later services on all days of the week
  • Simplified routings to improve punctuality and service reliability

Please note that Farranferris Ave and Pophams Hill will no longer be directly served toward Farranree by Route 203, however, Route 201 will continue to serve these stops. Alternative stops will be located on Fairfield Avenue adjacent to Knockpogue Ave, Kileens Place and Mulberry Heights.

Friars Walk and Connolly Road will no longer be served by Route 203 toward Leghenamore. These stops will be served on Route 209A, which will now operate outbound via Friars Walk and Connolly Road and inbound via Pouladuff Road. Route 209 will continue to operate as per current timetable.
