Customer Notice – Red Bull Soapbox

Bus Éireann would like to inform customers that St. Patricks Bridge, McCurtain Street in Cork will be closed to traffic from 05.00-17.00 hours approximately on Sunday, 5th June, 2016 to facilitate the holding of the Red Bull Soapbox.

As a result, the following diversions will be in place:

Route 202 inbound will not serve bus stop on Camden Quay:  Passengers may alight service in Merchants Quay.

Routes 203 & 215 inbound will not serve bus stop on Camden Quay:  Passengers may alight service in St. Patrick Street.

Route 205 from CIT to Kent Station will not serve bus stop on McCurtain Street. Service will serve Bus Stop on Lower Glanmire Road (Kent Station).

Route 207 from St. Patrick Street to Ballyvolane will not serve bus stops on McCurtain Street, Summerhill North, Ballyhooly Road.  Passengers may join Route 207 outbound in St. Patrick’s Street/Lavitts Quay or at bus stops along the diversion route.

Route 207 from Ballyvolane to St. Patrick’s Street unaffected.

Route 208 from St. Patrick Street to Lotabeg will not serve bus stops on McCurtain Street, Summerhill North, Ballyhooly Road, Dillons Cross, Old Youghal Road (St. Joseph’s Church/Mayfield Swimming Pool).  Passengers may board service at St. Patrick’s Street/Lavitts Quay or at bus stops along the diversion route.

Route 208 from Lotabeg to City Centre not affected.

  • Ballyhooly Road (Opp. Windsor Terrace), (Harrington Square), (Glen River Park)

  • Old Youghal Road (St. Joseph’s Church)
  • Mayfield Swimming Pool
