Regeneron Great Limerick Run Sunday, 5 May 2019

The Regeneron Great Limerick Run will take place in Limerick City on Sunday, 5 May. All Bus Éireann Limerick City services will operate as per Sunday Timetables with the following amendments between the hours of 0900 – 1800 approx. due to road closures.

Route 301 Father Russell Road/City Centre/Westbury

  • From 0955 to 1355, there will be a 30 minute frequency from Arthur’s Quay to Westbury. Arthur’s Quay will not be served between 1400 and 1800. To compensate for this and to enable a crosstown service, the first 301 service departing Father Russell Road will operate at 1400. There will be no 301 services departing Raheen before this time.
  • From 1400, inbound from Father Russell Road the 301 service will operate on Childers Road and Hyde Road, to Parnell Street, Upper William Street and continue via Pennywell, St. Lelia Street, Athlunkard Street to Corbally and Westbury.
  • Normal route resumes from the 1800 departure from Father Russell Road.

Route 301 Westbury/City Centre/Father Russell Road

  • From 1010 to 1340 there will be a 30 minute frequency from Westbury, operating the normal route to the city centre but terminating at Arthurs Quay.
  • The 1415 ex Westbury will be the first cross town service, operating via Corbally, Athlunkard Street, St.Lelia Street, Pennywell, Sexton Street, Parnell Street, Hyde Road, Childers Road and St. Nessans Road and the South Court Hotel to Father Russell Road.
  • Normal service resumes from 1745 from Westbury.

Route 302 City Centre/Caherdavin

  • From 1000 to 1730, outbound from the City Centre the service will operate from Arthurs Quay via Athlunkard St. to the Island Rd. It will proceed via Thomond Bridge and continue on Thomondgate and through Caherdavin on its regular route.
  • From 1800-2100, there will be a normal service from Henry Street.
  • From 2130-2300, the service departs from Arthurs Quay instead of Henry Street due to Riverfest Fireworks display.
  • 2330 departs from Henry Street

Route 302 Caherdavin/City Centre

  • From 1015 to 1715, from Caherdavin inbound the service will operate on its regular route to Thomond Bridge. It will then operate via Thomond Bridge and the Island Rd. It will proceed via Athlunkard St. and Patrick St. to its terminus at Arthurs Quay.
  • From 1745-2045, there will be a normal service from Caherdavin.
  • 302 services between 2115 and 2245 ex Caherdavin will also operate to and from Arthurs Quay due to Riverfest Fireworks display.
  • 2315 and 2345 services will operate normal route.

Route 303 O’Malley Park/City Centre/Moyross and Craeval Park

  • From 1010 to 1210, from O’Malley Pk. the 303 service will operate as normal until the end of Roxboro Road, where it reroutes to terminate at Colbert Station.
  • From 1030-1230, from Arthur’s Quay, services will operate via Thomond Bridge to Craeval Park.
  • From 1240 to 1710, the service will travel cross town from O’Malley Park, to Future Sound and Vision on Upper William Street. Operating via Pennywell, Lelia St., Clare St. and Island Rd. the service will travel over Thomond Bridge to High St. and on to Moyross and Craeval Pk. as per regular route.
  • From 1740 ex O’Malley Park, normal service resumes.

Route 303 Moyross and Craeval Park /City Centre/ O’Malley Park

  • From 1010 -1210 From Moyross and Craeval Pk. the 303 service will operate from High Street over Thomond Bridge to Island Road. It will then turn right onto Athlunkard St and operate via St. Patrick St. to Arthur’s Quay.
  • From 1030 to 1230, there will be a service from Colbert Station to O’Malley Park via Carey’s Road and Roxboro Road via the normal route.
  • From 1240 to 1710 the service will travel cross town from Moyross and Craeval Park and will operate from High Street over Thomond Bridge to Island Road. It will then turn right onto Athlunkard St and operate via St. Patrick St. and William St to O’Malley Park.
  • From 1740 to 2040, normal services operate.
  • The 2140 and 2240 operate over Thomond Bridge to William Street due to Riverfest Fireworks display.
  • 2340 operates as normal

Route 304 Raheen/City Centre/University of Limerick

  • 0630 Ex Raheen operates as normal until rerouting via Childers Road and Hyde Road, Parnell Street, Upper William Street to University of Limerick via the normal route.
  • 0750 Ex Raheen operates as normal until rerouting via Childers Road and Hyde Road. Due to the closure of Boherbuoy 0800-1430, turn right onto Carey’s Road, left onto Roxboro Road to Upper William Street and continue to University of Limerick via the normal route.
  • 0820 Ex Raheen operates as normal until rerouting via Childers Road and Hyde Road. Turn right onto Carey’s Road, left onto Roxboro Road to Upper William Street. There are no further crosstown services from Raheen until 1320.
  • From 0900 -1230, service operates from Upper William Street to Parkway Retail Park as normal. Due to no left turn at the Groody Roundabout and inaccessibility of the Stables stop in the University, the service goes through the Groody Roundabout and up the Dublin Road, turning left at the traffic lights onto Milford Road. Turn left onto Plassey Park Road, turn right at the Flag Poles to the temporary terminus at the University of Limerick (Dromroe Stop).
  • 1245 and 1315 services from Upper William St, operate normal route to University of Limerick.
  • 1320 and 1350 ex Raheen, operates as normal until rerouting via Childers Road and Hyde Road. Due to the closure of Boherbuoy 0800-1430, turn right onto Carey’s Road, left onto Roxboro Road to Upper William Street and continue to University of Limerick via the normal route.
  • 1420 to 1720 ex Raheen operates as normal until rerouting via Childers Road and Hyde Road, Parnell Street, Upper William Street to University of Limerick via the normal route.
  • 1750 to 2350, services operate as normal.

Route 304 University of Limerick/City Centre/Raheen

  • 0710, 0740, 0800, 0830 operate as normal until they reroute after Sexton’s Street to Parnell Street, Hyde Road, Childers Road to Ballycummin and Raheen. After 830, the next service ex University of Limerick (Stables) is 1300.
  • From 0913 to 1243, the service operates from temporary terminus at University of Limerick (Dromroe Stop). From there it turns left at the Flag Poles, right onto Milford Rd and left onto Dublin Road to the Hurlers Pub. From there the service operates the normal route to Mulgrave St., opposite the Fire Station, and terminates at Upper William Street.
  • From 1300 to 1730, the route operates as normal from University of Limerick (Stables) to Sexton Street, then reroutes to Parnell Street, Hyde Road, Childers Road to Ballycummin and Raheen.
  • From 1800, the service operates as normal.

Route 304A Raheen/Station/UL-Monaleen

  • From 0945 to 1215 the 304A will operate from Upper William St to the Parkway Retail Park via the 304 route on Mulgrave Street. Due to no left turn at the Groody Roundabout and inaccessibility of the Stables stop in the University, the service goes through the Groody Roundabout and up the Dublin Road, turning left at the traffic lights onto Milford Road. Turn left onto Plassey Park Road, turn right at the Flag Poles to the temporary terminus at the University of Limerick (Dromroe Stop). The service turns at the roundabout, turns left at the Flag Poles, right onto Milford Road and left onto the Dublin Road and terminates at Castletroy Shopping Centre.
  • 1244 ex Upper William Street operates the normal 304A route via Pennywell to University of Limerick (Stables).
  • The first 304A service departing Raheen will operate from St Nessans Church at 1350. There will be no 304A services departing Raheen before this time.
  • 1350 and 1420 operates crosstown to University of Limerick (Stables) via Hyde Road.
  • From 1450, normal service resumes.

Route 304A UL-Monaleen/Station/Raheen

  • From 1000 to 1230, the 304A operates from Castletroy Shopping Centre via the normal route to Upper William Street.
  • From 1300, ex University of Limerick (Stables), the service returns to normal cross town operations.

Route 305 City Centre/St Marys Park & 306 City Centre/Ballynanty

  • From 1000 to 1700, from Ballynanty the service will operate on its regular route to Thomond Bridge. It will proceed via Athlunkard St. and Patrick St. to its terminus at Arthurs Quay.
  • From Arthurs Quay the service will operate via Athlunkard St. and the Island Rd. to St. Marys Pk.
  • From St Mary’s Pk. the service will operate via the Island Rd. and Athlunkard St. to Arthurs Quay.
  • 306 services between 2115 and 2300 will not operate via Clancy Strand due to Riverfest Fireworks display.

Additional Diversions to Expressway/PSO Services Route 13/14 Kerry/Limerick
All services to operate via Motorway to Roxboro and return via Careys Road between 09.00 and 18.00.
Route 51/X51 
All services to operate via Hyde Road and Shannon Tunnel between 09.00 and 18.00 hrs.
Route 343 Limerick/Shannon/Ennis
All services to operate via Ivan’s and Shannon Tunnel, no pick up/drop off between Ivan’s and Bus Station between 09.00 and 18.00 hrs.
