Leap to the Beach for €1.96 from Waterford to Tramore

If you want to get that true Caribbean feeling without trekking to the other side of the world, you’ll be happy to know that Bus Éireann’s Route 360 offers high frequency and high capacity services from Waterford city to Tramore beach.

Tramore, which is a seaside resort town nestled in County Waterford has a beautiful sandy beach, where you will find powdery white sand, crystal clear waters and beautiful surroundings.

The Bus Éireann Route 360 Waterford-Tramore service operates daily with buses departing Waterford bus station from 06.30 until 23.00 (Monday-Sunday). Buses from Tramore returning back into Waterford bus station operate until 23.35 (Monday-Sunday).

Whether your family is after a place to relax on the beach or have a family day out at Splashworld, Waterford Museum of Treasures, the House of Waterford Crystal or visit the Metal Man, the Route 360 is a perfect bus service for you.

The south coast of Ireland has lots to do and see and has something to offer every age with plenty going on all year round including: The Churchyard Sessions with a series of FREE Open Air Concerts every Saturday until the 12th of August, The Tramore Races from the 15th-18th of August or for an everyday enjoyment the local amusements in Tramore promenade are a great day out for all the family.

The summer 360 timetable operates until the 31st of August and provides a high frequency service from Waterford to Tramore and offers:

  • Daily services from Waterford to Tramore (Monday to Sunday) with a 30 minute frequency from 07:30hrs to 12:00hrs. After 12:00hrs the service departs every 15 minutes up to 20:00hrs. From 20.00hrs up to 23:00hrs the buses depart every hour
  • Daily services from Tramore to Waterford (Monday to Sunday) with a 30 minute frequency from 08:15hrs to 20:15hrs. From 20:35hrs up to 23:35hrs there is an hourly service;
  • Leap Card customers can get up to 30% saving on cash single fares
  • Double-deck buses providing high seating capacity

There is just so much to see and do in this part of the country, whether you’re lying on a sandy beach, walking along the cliffs or shopping in the city, this route caters for all your leisure needs.”

Last year, Bus Éireann in conjunction with the National Transport Authority (NTA) launched 17 new state-of-the-art vehicles on the (W1-W5) Waterford city routes and introduced 21 new jobs, which was great news for the people of Waterford city. Also for the first time in the city, a full Sunday schedule is now in operation and proving very popular amongst the locals with over 70% growth in customer journeys year to date.
