Bus Éireann to Provide Daily Services from Portlaoise to Urlingford and Cashel

Bus Éireann is to provide daily services between Portlaoise, Urlingford and Cashel on a temporary basis from 15^th of September 2013. This service has been granted a temporary licence by the National Transport Authority. 

The commercial shuttle service (Route 128X) will operate three times daily, Monday to Sunday in each direction with an additional daily service in each direction on Fridays and Sundays. This service will commence on Sunday 15^th of September.

Route 128X will operate from Portlaoise to Cashel via Urlingford at 09.00, 13.00, 17.00 and 19.00 (Fri and Sun only) providing connections with Bus Éireann’s Route X8 at Cashel for onward travel to Cahir, Mitchelstown, Fermoy and Cork.

Route 128X will operate from Cashel to Portlaoise via Urlingford at 10.00, 14.00, 18.00 and 20.00 (Fri and Sun only) providing connections with Bus Éireann’s Routes 12 and X12 for onward travel to Dublin City and Airport.

Bus Éireann’s Route X8 Cork-Dublin-Dublin Airport commercial service will no longer serve Urlingford and Portlaoise from the 15^th of September 2013.
