Project Co-Ordinator - Mechanical Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Project Co-Ordinator (Mechanical Engineer) on a 3 year contract.

Our goal is that by 2023 we will be the most customer-centred and sustainable transport company in Ireland, with services provided by people who believe in Bus Éireann as a great place to work. 

As part of a core sub-project team within the Central Engineering Technical Department, tasked with planning and executing the deployment of future urban bus zero-emissions projects, the role will encompass the co-ordination, collation and reporting on key inputs and outputs from the Project Working Group.

Working closely with key personnel at central and regional locations within Bus Éireann and with the National Transport Authority to deliver fleet projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities will include technical fleet deployment support, engineering and fleet procurement support, liaising with vehicle and parts suppliers, engineering solutions, co-ordination of training development and maintenance upskilling to ensure successful transition to new fleet technologies.

Responsibilities will include charging infrastructure deployment support, engineering and infrastructure procurement support, liaising with key charging infrastructure and installations suppliers, assisting in the development of engineering solutions, co-ordination of training development programmes and maintenance upskilling to ensure successful transition to new fleet charging technologies and installations.
