Bus Éireann announce late night services for Christmas 2018

Special Services on four key routes from city to operate up to 3am

Heading out for a Christmas party, family gathering, late night shopping or other festivities? Then take Bus Éireann’s late night services from Cork to Ballincollig, Blarney, Carrigaline & Midleton. The late bus services will operate every Friday and Saturday night until Saturday, 22nd December 2018.

These special Christmas services will depart each night at 01.00, 02.00 & 03.00 from St. Patrick Street, Cork City and will operate as follows:

Route 215: St Patrick Street (Easons) - Blackpool - Churchfield - Farranree - Killeens - Blarney - Cloghroe
Route 220:
 St Patrick Street (Brown Thomas) - Douglas East Village - Maryborough Hill - Carrigaline
Route 220: St Patrick Street (Debenhams) - Bishopstown Road - Curraheen Road - Melbourne Road - Ballincollig
Route 261: St Patrick Street (Savoy) - Dillons Cross - Mayfield - Glanmire - Glounthaune - Carrigtwohill - Midleton

Leap Card and Student fares are available on these services while Free Travel passes will also be accepted.

The annual Christmas Park & Ride in Cork also currently operates every Saturday and Sunday until Sunday, December 23rd. Adult Return tickets cost €3.00, a child ticket is €1.50, or a family ticket (2 adults and 3 children) is €5.00. The bus service operates between the County Hall and Sheare’s Street every 15 minutes from 09.30 until 20.30 on Saturdays and from 10.30 to 20.30 on Sundays. Commuter tickets and Free Travel passes or Leap Card discounts are not valid on this service. 

The Black Ash Park and Ride at St Patrick’s Street (Marks & Spencer’s) continues to operate as a normal weekday service with extended hours on Thursday/Friday and Saturday. The service will operate from 7am until the final departure from the city centre at 21.30. The extended hours on a Thursday/Friday and Saturday will operate until 5th January 2019. On Sunday, the service departs at 11.00 from Black Ash and the final departure is at 20.10 from the city centre. The Sunday service will operate until 30th December 2018.
