Road Closure Ballydehob/Bantry Cork affecting Route 252

Cork County Council have advised that N71 National Secondary Road from junction of N71 and R592 on outskirts of Ballydehob Village, to junction of N71 and R586 at Parkana on outskirts of Bantry town will be closed to facilitate emergency road restoration works from 08:00 on Monday, 9 July 2018 to 20:00 on Friday, 13 July 2018.

Route 252 to Bantry will operate as normal to Skibbereen, taking R593 from N71 at Mill Road, follow R593 as far as Bauravilla, take R594 to Aughaville (via Caheragh), take R586 at Aughaville as far as junction of R586 and N71 at Parkana on outskirts of Bantry town and normal route thereafter.

Route 252, will also operate from Bantry via N71, then follow R586 (Dunmanway Road) as far as the junction of R586 and R594 at Aughaville.  Take R594 from Aughaville to Bauravilla (via Caheragh), then take R593 to Skibbereen and normal route thereafter.

As a result of diversion, Route 252 will not serve the following stops:

12:10 Aghadown (Kilcoe Church
12:15 Ballydehob Bridge (Westbound)
12:34 Durrus Cross (Roundabout)

From Bantry:
17:15 Durrus Cross (Eastbound)
17:30 Ballydehob Bridge (E/bound)
17:35 Aghadown (Kilcoe Cr)
17:45 Church Cross (Parish Hall)
