Closure of Grand Parade, Cork City on Monday, 28 November 2016

We wish to notify customers that due to the closure of Grand Parade, Cork City on Monday, 28 November 2016 from 18.00 until 06.00, some of our routes will be affected:

Route 202 to Knocknaheeny: Unaffected

Route 202 to Mahon: Unaffected

Route 203 to Farranree: Unaffected

Route 203 to Ballyphehane: Services will operate from Northside to Merchants Quay (Terminus will be at Merchants Quay Riverside for the duration of the closure) then via Clontarf Street to City Hall and normal route thereafter.

Route 205 to CIT: Unaffected

Route 205: Unaffected

Route 206 to Grange: Unaffected

Route 206 ex Grange: Unaffected

Route 207 to Ballyvolane: Services will operate via South Mall, serving 206 stop if required, onto Parnell Place, Merchants Quay, where temporary stop will be in place, to McCurtain Street, Summerhill North and normal outbound route thereafter.

Route 207 to Donnybrook: Services will operate from Summerhill North via Clontarf Street to Anglesea Street. Normal outbound route to Donnybrook thereafter. A temporary stop will be in place adjacent to Clarion Hotel to facilitate passengers.

Route 208 to Mayfield: Unaffected

Route 208: Unaffected

Route 214 ex CUH: Services will operate as normal as far as Washington Street then left onto St. Patrick Street, MacCurtain Street and Merchants Quay to St. Patricks Street.

Route 214 to CUH: Unaffected

Route 215 to Mahon, 12.00 to 22.00: Services will operate via Merchants Quay Riverside (Terminus), then via Clontarf Street to Anglesea Street and normal route thereafter.

Route 215 to Blarney/Cloghroe: Unaffected.

Route 216 to CUH: should operate as normal to Georges Quay onto Sullivans Quay, where temporary city terminus will be in place, then onto Proby’s Quay, left onto Bishops Street and normal route thereafter.

Route 216 to Mount Oval: from Washington Street turning left onto St. Patrick Street, right to Merchants Quay (Terminus will be at Merchants Quay Riverside for the duration of the closure) then via Clontarf Street to City Hall and normal route thereafter.

Route 220: to Ballincollig should operate as normal to Georges Quay then onto Sullivans Quay, where temporary city terminus will be in place, then onto Proby’s Quay, Sharman Crawford Street, turning right onto Wandesford Quay onto Clarkes Bridge and left onto Washington Street and normal thereafter.

Route 220/ 220X to Carrigaline / Crosshaven: to operate as follows: Normal route to Sheares Street then turn left onto Grattan Street, turn right onto Bachelor’s Quay, Kyrl’s Quay, Lavitts Quay and Merchants Quay turning right onto Clontarf Street turn right onto McSwiney Quay turn left onto Anglesea Street. Normal route thereafter to Carrigaline / Crosshaven.

Services from Macroom/West Cork: Normal route to Sheares Street then turn left onto Grattan Street, turn right onto Bachelor’s Quay, Kyrl’s Quay, Lavitts Quay and Merchants Quay to Parnell Place.

Services from Tralee: Normal route to Sheares Street then turn left onto Grattan Street, turn right onto Bachelor’s Quay, Kyrl’s Quay, Lavitts Quay and Merchants Quay to Parnell Place.

Customers may board the following services at these alternative boarding points.

  • 203 to Ballyphehane – Merchants Quay (Riverside) & Anglesea Street.
  • 207 to Ballyvolane – South Mall & Merchants Quay.
  • 207 to Donnybrook – Anglesea Street.
  • 215 to Mahon – Merchants Quay (Riverside) & Anglesea Street.
  • 216 to CUH – Sullivan’s Quay
  • 216 to Mount Oval - Merchants Quay (Riverside) & Anglesea Street.
  • 220 to Ballincollig – Sullivan’s Quay & Washington Street
  • 220 / 220X to Carrigaline – Sheares Street & Anglesea Street.
