Galway City Service Changes - St Patrick's Day

Bus Éireann would like to inform customers of the following service curtailments taking place in Galway on St Patrick's Day 17th March.

Route 401

The 11:20, 12:00, 12:40 and 13:20 city centre departures will depart from the bus stop opposite Woodquay. 

The 11:00, 11:40, 12:20 and 13:00 Dr. Mannix Road departures will divert to Woodquay.  

Outbound trips will operate via Galway Shopping Centre, Quincentenary Bridge, Lower Newcastle and St. Mary’s Road to Nile Lodge. 

Inbound trips will operate from Nile Lodge to St. Mary’s Road, Newcastle Road, University Road and Galway Court House to Woodquay.

Routes 402

The 11:30, 12:30 and 13:30 city centre departures will depart from Woodquay. 

Westbound buses will divert at Cemetery Cross to Sean Mulvoy Road and The Galway Shopping Centre to Woodquay. 

Eastbound buses will divert at Galway Court House to Woodquay.

Routes 403

The 11:15, 12:15 and 13:15 city centre departures will depart from stop no. 9, Galway Bus Station (the 11:00, 12:00 and 13:00 X51 departures will depart from stop 7). 

Outbound trips will operate via Eyre Square South, Victoria Place, Queen Street, Bothar Na nDuganna, Lough Atalia Road and Fairgreen Road to College Road. 

Inbound trips will divert at The Private Coach Park via Fairgreen Road to Ceannt Station.

Routes 405

The 11:00, 11:40, 12:20, 13:00 and 13:40 city centre departures will depart from Woodquay.

Westbound buses will divert at Cemetery Cross to Sean Mulvoy Road and The Galway Shopping Centre to Woodquay. 

Eastbound buses will divert at Galway Court House to Woodquay.

Route 407

The 11:15, 12:15 and 13:15 city centre departures will depart from the bus stop opposite Woodquay. 

Inbound trips will terminate at Woodquay. Buses will then operate light to Galway Cathedral to turn.

Routes 409

The 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00 and 13:30 city centre departures will depart from stop no. 9, Galway Bus Station (the 11:00, 12:00 and 13:00 X51 departures will depart from stop 7).

Outbound trips will operate via Eyre Square South, Victoria Place, Queen Street, Bothar Na nDuganna, Lough Atalia Road and Fairgreen Road to College Road. 

Inbound trips will divert at The Private Coach Park via Fairgreen Road to Ceannt Station.

Route 419

The 11:10 Galway – Oughterard will divert via Eyre Square South, Victoria Place, Queen Street, Bothar Na nDuganna, Lough Atalia Road, Moneenageisha Road, Sean Mulvoy Road, The Quincentenary Bridge to The Browne Roundabout, turning left onto Seamus Quirke Road and left again onto Lower Newcastle Road. 

The 12:00 Oughterard - Galway will divert from Upper Newcastle to The Quincentenary Bridge, Sean Mulvoy Road, Moneenageisha Road and Lough Atalia Road to Ceannt Station.

Route 424

The 11:30 Galway – Carraroe will divert via Eyre Square South, Victoria Place, Queen Street, Bothar Na nDuganna, Lough Atalia Road, Moneenageisha Road, Sean Mulvoy Road, The Quincentenary Bridge, Lower Newcastle Road and St. Marys Road to Nile Lodge.

The 10:30 Carraroe – Galway will divert from Nile Lodge to St. Mary’s Road, Newcastle Road, Seamus Quirke Road, The Browne Roundabout, The Quincentenary Bridge, Sean Mulvoy Road, Moneenageisha Road and Lough Atalia Road to Ceannt Station.
