Revisions to Route 221 Glanmire/Hazelwood to Cork City, effective 23 February 2014

As part of an ongoing review of public transport services in Cork city undertaken by the National Transport Authority, Bus Éireann will introduce a revised Route 221, Glanmire/Hazelwood to Cork City service which will commence on Sunday, 23 February 2014.

This revised bus timetable has been designed to enhance the connectivity between the Glanmire/Hazelwood area and Cork city.  This revised service will have 32 daily weekday departures and 15 Sunday departures from Glanmire/Hazelwood to Cork city and return. This revised timetable will include four weekday services to/from Knockraha.

Enhancements to the bus timetable include:

  • Improved weekday services (30 minute all day frequency)
  • Increased Saturday services (30 minute all day frequency)
  • Increased Sunday services (60 minute all day frequency)
  • Clock face timetables
  • Standardised routing

The changes to Route 221, Glanmire/Hazelwood to Cork City will come into effect on Sunday, 23 February 2014. These changes have been approved by the National Transport Authority.
