Bus Éireann Reduces Journey Time on Dublin-Belfast Service

Bus Éireann’s Route 1 Expressway service from Dublin to Belfast will have a faster journey time of 2hrs 25 minutes following the introduction of a new timetable on Sunday, May 29th, 2011.

The new timetable will offer customers a 24 hour service from Dublin to Belfast operating on the motorway between Dublin Airport and Newry bypassing Drogheda and Dundalk.

Customers in Drogheda and Dundalk can still use local services that operate between Drogheda, Dundalk and Newry.

The new timetable will offer 24 departures a day each way.

This new improved service will cut travelling time for customers, while also saving them money on car parking, toll and fuel costs. Route 1 provides a fast, convenient connection between Dublin Airport and Newry, and is the ideal way to travel whether it is for business or pleasure.” said Joe Kenny, Regional Manager East, Bus Éireann.
