Travel Derry to Dublin in Just 3 hours with New Expressway Route 33/X33 Service from Bus Éireann

Bus Éireann is pleased to announce the introduction from Sunday 17th of April, 2011 of a new summer timetable on its Expressway route 33, Dublin to Derry via Dublin Airport and Omagh. Bus Éireann is also pleased to announce the introduction of a new X33 service, an executive coach offering a direct service between the two cities. This will allow customers to avail of a swift journey time of less than 3 hours.

This Expressway service on Derry/Dublin via Dublin Airport is operated in conjunction with Translink. The Expressway Route 33/X33 has an increased frequency from 10 to 20 services to cater for customers wishing to connect to Dublin Airport and Dublin City during the busy summer period.

The X33 service will operate 4 times daily, 2 in each direction. The executive coaches have excellent passenger safety and comfort facilities; including toilet facilities, free Wi-Fi, a climate control ventilation system, good legroom, 3-point safety belts, adjustable head and foot rests, and low interior noise. The Free Wi-Fi onboard enables customers using the Derry to Dublin service to check their emails, catch up with friends and access the internet while relaxing on their journey.

With the designation of Derry as the City of Culture in 2013 these additional services will offer more choice for those wishing to partake in social and cultural activities. The faster core 33 service from Derry operates via Strabane, Omagh, Monaghan, Ardee to Dublin Airport.

The 33 service from Dublin Airport and Dublin City operates via Ardee, Monaghan, Omagh, Newtownstewart, Strabane to Derry.
