The IWAS Youth World Games sees young athletes between the ages of 14 to 23 years partake in biennial multi-sport Games, providing participants with their first taste of competition against international counterparts.

The Games sustain ongoing growth of young athletes with a physical disability worldwide, promoting their development in sporting pathways in the Paralympic movement.

Bus Éireann - as proud sponsors - transported participants from Dublin Airport to Athlone and have operated a shuttle service between the host hotels and the venues – AIT and the Regional Sports Centre.

Nicola Cooke, Bus Éireann Media & PR Manager said: “With the largest network of transport across Ireland, we are delighted to be a partner to the IWAS Youth World Games. As the official transport provider we have welcomed athletes on-board our hi-spec Expressway coaches, for their journeys to and from Dublin Airport.

"In Athlone we operated shuttles between the sports venues and athletes’ accommodation for the duration of the games. We wish all participants the very best of luck and hope they take back medals & fond memories to their home countries."

The games are supported by hundreds of local volunteers and organisations and run from the June 30 to July 6. For more information see www.iwasf.com
