Get straight to the Point with Bus Éireann this summer. New terminus and boost in services at Mahon Point SC

An excuse for shopping has never been so easy, with Bus Éireann’s extended services direct to the Mahon Point shopping centre.
Customers can travel to the front door for as little as €1.60 (single LeapCard fare) on Bus Éireann’s Route 202.

Bus Éireann & the National Transport Authority (NTA) are pleased to announce that a dedicated bus entrance has now been provided by Cork City Council.
The route will now operate every 10 minutes from Monday to Friday from a new terminus located right beside the “Omniplex Entrance” at the Shopping Centre.
So if you’re after some retail therapy, cinema entertainment or just a wander around the shops, the Route 202 is the best way to get there!

Improvements in the last 12 months on the Route 202 include:

  • A weekday service from Merchant’s Quay has increased to a 10 minute frequency, from 06:20 to 18:20. Thereafter buses run every 20 minutes until the last service at 23.30
  • Services from Mahon Point to the city start at 06.35am and run every 10 minutes from 07.15 until 18.15. There is a regular service thereafter until 23.15
  • The Saturday service starts at 7am and operates from the city every 20 minutes throughout the day, with the last service at 23.30. Services run approximately every 20 minutes return from Mahon Point to the city until 23.15
  • The Sunday & Public Holiday service starts at 9am from the city, and operates every 20 minutes throughout the day, with the last service at 23.30 and a similar service in the opposite direction

This service is now further enhanced by its new terminus at Mahon Point Shopping Centr,e which has been approved by the National Transport Authority (NTA), and came into effect on Sunday, 14 May 2017.
