Festival mode for Electric Picnic kicks off with Bus Éireann services from Eyre Square

Anticipation has been building and the countdown is on for the sell-out music and arts festival of the year, which is almost upon us. Electric Picnic, one of Ireland’s top boutique festivals, takes place from Friday, 2 September to Sunday, 4 September at Stradbally Estate, Co. Laois and Bus Éireann will operate a return service to the event from the Bus Station in Eyre Square. 

This special service will offer customers the chance to leave their cars at home and forget about driving and parking worries. The festival experience with friends and other Picnickers, begins once you board one of our buses. From previous years, the direct bus service is very popular and tickets sell out fast, so book your tickets today to avoid any disappointment. 

Travel from Eyre Square to Stradbally with Bus Éireann for Electric Picnic

The service will depart from the Bus Station in Eyre Square at 12 on Friday, 2 September with a return service from Stradbally to Eyre Square in Galway on Monday, 5 September. Return tickets cost €35 and can be purchased in advance from our Travel Centre in Galway or by contacting them directly on 091 562000.

The line-up this year includes LCD Soundsystem, Lana Del Rey, The Chemical Brothers, New Order and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds amongst many more. This is guaranteed to be a spectacular weekend of music.
