Expressway officially launch X7 Clonmel and Kilkenny to Dublin city and Dublin Airport service.

Expressway and Rosanna Davison get into the Christmas Spirit as Expressway’s new X7 route is launched.

Former Miss World, Rosanna Davison was in festive form as she posed with an Expressway coach to mark the official launch of the X7 route servicing Clonmel, Kilkenny, Dublin and Dublin Airport.

The route which travels on the M9 motorway provides year-round, regular return daily services from Clonmel and Kilkenny to Dublin city and Dublin Airport.

Rosanna donned a Santa hat to launch the service which will provide easy access to Dublin for passengers planning to make the trip for Christmas shopping and other activities associated with this time of year.Speaking at Busáras, Rosanna Davison said she loves convenience when traveling: “It makes sense to take an Expressway coach, especially when you are travelling to the airport or a city. I like the idea of leaving the car behind and enjoying the festivities whether I’m stocking up on Christmas gifts or meeting friends.”

Customers can avail of a fast commute with a journey time of 2 hours 30 minutes from Clonmel to Dublin City, 2 hours 50 minutes from Clonmel to Dublin Airport, 1 hour 40 minutes from Kilkenny to Dublin City; and a two hour travel time from Kilkenny to Dublin Airport.

With early morning departures from Clonmel at 02.35, and Kilkenny at 03.15 whether commuting for business or pleasure, the X7 provides a convenient, affordable way to travel to Dublin Airport and the city. 

Bus Éireann’s Expressway network of twenty-three routes provides customers nation-wide access to all of the country’s major cities and towns all year round, and in the lead up to and over the Christmas period.

Features of the new X7 Expressway service include:

  • Eight return daily services between Clonmel and Dublin
  • Eight return daily services from Kilkenny to Dublin City
  • Seven daily return services from Kilkenny to Dublin Airport

Bus Éireann’s Expressway fleet includes state-of-the-art coaches which feature free 4G Wi-Fi, reclining leather seats, power sockets and toilet facilities. 

Speaking at the launch, Seán Forde, Product Manager of Expressway said: “The launch of the new X7 Expressway service builds on Expressway’s focus to integrate all the country’s main cities, towns and airports. We offer our customers a convenient, comfortable service that works for their travel requirements whether that is for business or pleasure over the Christmas period, and all year round. The addition of the X7 route builds on the redesign of Expressway routes and services which Bus Éireann undertook in 2015.”
