Extra Eurolines coach and ferry services for the Summer

Bus Éireann Eurolines is delighted to announce extra coach and ferry services from Dublin to Birmingham and London for the summer period. Customers who are planning on travelling to Birmingham or London this summer should note that the additional services will run until 13 September 2014. They will complement the international coach company’s existing services on the route.

Commenting on the service, Bus Éireann Eurolines Manager Rory Leahy said “Eurolines is a great value and hassle free way to travel. We are expecting a busy summer with Irish customers making their way to Britain and hundreds of destinations across Europe from as little as €38 single.”

The additional services added are a reflection of the growing popularity of coach and ferry travel. Customers can book tickets through www.eurolines.ie and no booking fee is required. Connections are available across 25 countries in Europe on the Eurolines coach network.

All Eurolines services are operated with luxury coaches equipped with toilets, Wi-Fi, reclining seats and panoramic viewing windows. For a small extra charge, customers can use Bus Éireann connecting services from hundreds of local departure points nationwide. These services then connect with the main Eurolines service at Dublin, Cork, Waterford and Wexford. The Irish Sea crossings are aboard the modern cruise ferries of Irish Ferries.

There are no extra taxes to pay and adult fares include two medium-sized suitcases (up to 15KG each) and hand luggage. Customers must reserve seats in advance of travel and are advised to check in at least 30 minutes prior to boarding at Cork and Busáras, Dublin. Services on popular dates fill up fast, so the advice is to book early to avoid disappointment.

Customers travelling from Wexford, Cork, Tralee and Waterford to Britain this summer can board the daily Eurolines 890 service to Cardiff, Bristol and London which operates via Rosslare Harbour. There are also daily services from Dublin to Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Bradford and Leeds.
