Plan your Christmas journey home to Limerick with Bus Éireann

If you’re travelling home this Christmas from Tralee to Limerick, Bus Éireann is encouraging customers to leave the car at home and travel by bus instead. During the festive season Limerick city experiences a huge increase in traffic which can lead to driver frustration and traffic congestion. For customers wishing to avoid the traffic rush, Bus Éireann is advising to plan ahead and take the coach.

Customers should note that there are special midweek, student, family and child discounts available.

The Expressway Route 13 Tralee to Limerick service provides early morning departure times. The first service departs Tralee Bus Station at 06.15 (Mon-Sat) and departs every two hours from 09.00 up until 17.00 and then every hour until 19.00.

The Route 13 service is a Monday to Sunday service and will be very useful for family and friends travelling home from Tralee to Limerick this Christmas. The service offers more choice and availability providing customers with a faster, more convenient service from Tralee to Limerick with a journey time of 2 hours and 5 minutes.

The service departs Tralee Bus Station at 06.15 (Mon-Sat); 08.00; 09.00; 11.00; 13.00; 15.00; 17.00; 18.00 and 19.00. The Route 13 departs Limerick Bus Station at 08.35; 09.35; 11.35; 13.35; 15.35; 17.35; 19.35; 20.35 (Sunday only) and 21.35. 

For any last minute shopping customers should be advised that the Bus Station is a five minute walk to the main shopping street in Limerick and all services on route drop off and pick up at the Crescent Shopping centre.

The Tralee to Limerick route operates through major population centres such as Listowel, Abbeyfeale, Newcastle West, Adare and Limerick and a number of towns along the way.
