Travel to the capital over the festive season with Bus Éireann

As we head into the festive season, Bus Éireann is advising customers who are planning on travelling between Longford and Dublin city to leave the car at home and travel by bus instead.  During the festive season Dublin city experiences a huge increase in traffic which can lead to driver frustration and traffic congestion. For customers wishing to avoid the traffic rush, Bus Éireann is encouraging customers to plan ahead and take the coach.

Customers travelling from Longford to Dublin city should be aware that it costs as little as €13.50 for an adult single or €16 for a day return ticket. There are also special midweek, student, family and child discounts available.

There are direct services from Longford to Dublin city on the Expressway Route 22 and Route 23 service. Departing times from Longford to Dublin city are at 02.25, 02.50, 08.30, 09.35  (Monday to Saturday only), 11.32, 13.45, 14.30, 17.00, 17.30, 19.15, 20.05 (Monday to Saturday only), and 20.35 (Sundays only).

For customers returning from Dublin city to Longford the service departs at 07.00, 08.00, 10.00, 11.00, 13.00, 14.00, 16.00, 17.30, 18.30, 20.00, 21.00 (Sunday & during Public Holidays), 23.00 (Mon-Sat).

Customers travelling to and from Dublin Airport over the Christmas period should be aware that both the Route 22 and Route 23 have direct services from Longford to Dublin Airport, which is ideal for relatives and family members coming home for Christmas. The service arrives and departs at Dublin Airport 17 times a day providing an excellent value for money alternative so that customers can avoid petrol prices, toll charges and car parking fees.

Relatives and friends travelling from Longford to Dublin Airport should be aware that it departs Longford for Dublin Airport at 02.25, 02.50, 08.30, 09.35 (Monday to Saturday only), 11.32, 13.45, 14.30, 17.00, 17.30 and 19.15.

Relatives and friends travelling from Dublin Airport to Longford should be aware that it departs 07.20, 08.20, 11.20, 12.30, 14.20, 15.30, 17.50, 18.00, 20.20, 22.50, and 23.20 (Monday to Saturday only).
