Bus Éireann Services - severe weather update timeline 25/10

Bus Éireann wishes to advise customers that due to adverse weather conditions there may be some small delays due to heavy traffic.

All services are scheduled to operate at present.

 The following services previously affected by the Wolfe Tone Quay closure have resumed normal routes through Dublin City and are operating normally.

  • Route 4 – Dublin/Waterford/Dungarvan
  • Route 7 – Dublin/Kilkenny/Clonmel
  • Route 8 – Cork/Dublin
  • Route 12 – Limerick/Dublin
  • Route 20 – Dublin/Galway
  • Route 21 – Westport/Dublin
  • Route 22 – Dublin/Ballina
  • Route 23 – Dublin/Sligo
  • Route 115 - Dublin/Mullingar/Longford
  • Route 120 - Dublin/Clane/Edenderry/Tullamore
  • Route 126 - Kildare/Dublin

Expressway services are operating to and from Dublin on normal routes. There are no services required to operate via Thomas Street.

  • Route 100X Dublin Dundalk operating normally however limited capacity was available for Dublin Airport Customers for a time due to excessive and unexpected demand in Dublin caused by Dublin/Dundalk/Belfast railway line closure between 18:00 and 20:00. Additional services have been put in place to follow full services and we apologise for this unexpected delay to our customers.
  • Route 101 Dublin Drogheda operating normally however limited capacity was available for North Dublin City, Dublin Airport and Swords Customers for a time due to excessive and unexpected demand in Dublin caused by Dublin/Dundalk/Belfast railway line closure between 18:00 and 20:00. Additional services have been put in place to follow full services and we apologise for this unexpected delay to our customers.
  • Route 175 - Monaghan/Cootehill/Cavan is suspended for the rest of today.
  • Routes 32 – Moy Bridge N2 closed diversion remains in place via A28 Miltown and A3/N12. Monaghan Town Centre closed to traffic, delays expected.
  • Route 33/274  – Moy Bridge N2 closed diversion remains in place via A28 Milltown and A3/N12. Monaghan Town Centre closed to traffic, delays expected.

Bus Éireann wishes to advise customers that due to adverse weather conditions there may be some small delays due to heavy traffic.

All services are scheduled to operate at present. There are no reported road closures affecting Bus Éireann services with the exception of Wolfe Tone Quay which remains closed. The following in-bound services have been re-routed through Thomas Street for the duration of the closure:

  • Route 115 - Dublin/Mullingar/Longford
  • Route 120 - Dublin/Clane/Edenderry/Tullamore
  • Route 126 - Kildare/Dublin

Outbound services are following their normal route.

  • Route 175 - Monaghan/Cootehill/Cavan is suspended for the rest of today.

Monaghan Town Centre is closed to traffic and delays on Monaghan bypass are around 90 minutes. 

The N2 at Moy Bridge is now closed and due to narrowness and flooding of back roads the Gardai are recommending diversion from between Aughnacloy and Monaghan which is via A28 to Armagh and A3/N12 in both directions. Routes affected 32 and 33/274.

All inbound intercity Expressway services that would normally use Wolfe Tone Quay are diverted via the M50 and Port Tunnel to Busaras. Out bound services are operating the normal routes. These services include:

  • Route 4 – Dublin/Waterford/Dungarvan
  • Route 7 – Dublin/Kilkenny/Clonmel
  • Route 8 – Cork/Dublin
  • Route 12 – Limerick/Dublin
  • Route 20 – Dublin/Galway
  • Route 21 – Westport/Dublin

We will continue to monitor all routes throughout the day and update the website continuously. Some School Transport Services have been affected particularly in West Wicklow and in Monaghan.
