Commercial Analyst – Finance Department

2 Year Contract Role

The Commercial Analyst is a key member of the Finance Business Operations Controller team and is responsible for the preparation of all financial reports associated with revenue and commercial profitability, in line with business requirements and timelines.  The compilation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators is a significant aspect of the role as is contributing to the analysis of data for the whole company. The role reports to the Finance Business Operations Controller.

Manager Internal Communications

Bus Éireann employs approximately 2,700 people who are based at 18 primary locations across the country. With almost 80 million passenger journeys in 2017, Bus Éireann operates the largest integrated bus and coach network outside Dublin. The transport industry in Ireland has changed significantly in the past number of years however and Bus Éireann is now operating in an increasingly competitive market with a growing number of routes being opened up to public tender, and a schools transport business with increasing complexity that transported 117,000 school children to and from school in 2017. The need for an effective and engaging internal communication capability has never been stronger and we are delighted to post this new opportunity for a Manager Internal Communications position, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer.

This position will be responsible for championing cultural change by establishing the strategy, channels and deliverables for effective two-way internal communications with all categories of employees to ensure the mission, values and culture of the organisation is clear and compelling. It will provide leadership and consultancy to key stakeholders on internal communications for successful program and project delivery. It will also support and guide the leadership team on the effective implementation of the agreed communication strategy.

Interested candidates must demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years business communications experience - in Marketing or Communications
  • Preferably a degree and/or professional qualifications in a related discipline
  • Strong evidence accustomed to operating in complex organisations through periods of significant transformation
  • Experience of working in unionised environments with strong regulation
  • Excellent technical, communications and presentation skills
