Changes to Bus Éireann Route 101X and Route 104 Services

Bus Éireann wishes to advise customers of the following timetable changes to its Route 101X and the Route 104 services. These changes will be effective from Sunday, 29th of July 2012. Route 101X – Wilton Terrace-Drogheda-Termon Abbey Monday to Friday ex Wilton Terrace: • The 16:00, 16:40 and 17:30 services ex Wilton Terrace will depart from the bus stop at Custom House Quay instead of Busáras. • Departures times at Custom House Quay will remain the same at 16:20, 17:00 and 18:00 Route 104 – Balbriggan Town Service Monday to Sunday: • Re-routing of the “North Town Lap”. All trips from Balbriggan Railway Station will pass through Drogheda Street and Inner Relief road to the north end of Harry Reynolds Road instead of Chapel Street. The service will operate in a clockwise direction from Balbriggan Railway Station serving Harry Reynolds Road, Chieftains Way, Barons Hall, Hastings Green, Brega, Hamlet Lane, Bremore and Drogheda Street returning to Balbriggan Station. Bus Éireann wishes to advise customers of the following service changes to Route 187 Oldcastle/Kells Service. These changes will be effective from Monday the 26th of March 2012. Monday to Saturday Timetable: • 16:00 Departure from Kells to Oldcastle and Ballyjamesduff will have an additional 15 minutes running time between Kells and Virginia. • 18:10 Departure from Kells to Oldcastle will depart at 18:00. • 17:10 from Oldcastle to Kells will now depart at 16:55; Mount Nugent is no longer served on this trip. Bus Éireann regrets any inconvenience this may cause customers.

Bus Éireann Revises Galway City Network to Deliver Enhanced Service Following a review of public transport services in Galway undertaken by the National Transport Authority, Bus Éireann is pleased to announce a revised Galway City bus network to provide customers with an improved level of service including more frequent services, increased reliability, clearer timetables, and a simplified network. The changes, which have been approved by the National Transport Authority, will come into effect from Sunday, March 4th, 2012.

Changes to Post Primary Scheme

Changes Introduced for the 2011/12 school year A number of changes to the Post Primary School Transport Scheme came into effect from the beginning of this school year (2011/12). Included in these changes is an increase to ten in the minimum number of eligible pupils from a distinct locality, as determined by Bus Éireann, required to establish/retain a school transport service. The annual charge per pupil was increased to €350 but the family maximum remains at €650 per annum. Eligible pupils holding valid medical cards (GMS Scheme) continue to be exempt from paying this charge.
